Thursday, March 12, 2015. For years now, I have been advocating competitive mahjong. One in the form of World Riichi Rules.

Played 20 matches in Marujan to get into the ranking. It seems like I did well. someone got a double yakuman tsumo during my South 3 dealer turn and I busted. It was a third turn suu an kou tanki riichi, nothing to do about that. Quickly finished 30 games, received my rate and rank, and entered the ranking.

Some tough luck getting there. Took me about 5 games to get the last 30 points I needed. There was one particularly frustrating game.
